Pictures from (a few) Days Gone By

Below are a whole host of photos from mid-December to February.  I feel, though, as if it were only yesterday...  Perhaps, that is due to a lack of change in weather.  : )

Claire crawls into her new snowsuit on the morning of her birthday (December 7th).

Later, that afternoon, Jane and I took party bags and tasty goodies to Claire's class.

Instead of cake or cupcakes or other traditional birthday treats, both Rory and Claire requested homemade cinnamon rolls.  I heartily concur.

This is, for some kiddos, a completely new taste.  Cinnamon rolls are not a common sweet in the Motherland.  I think Claire enjoyed them most.  : )

Here, is a view into Rory's classroom on her birthday (December 13th).

In addition to the sweets and party bags, I planned a game for Rory's class -- a sort of personalized 'Pictionary,' with all the clues having to do with her.  I think that was her favorite part.

Each of the girls were able to choose their favorite foods for dinner (going out or staying in), and pick out a new toy (without any parental guidelines).  Haha...  Then, games and the like were enjoyed by all!

There's Dad!

The rest of the photos are from a 'normal' day in the life...

A morning view from the kitchen.

Breakfast time with the school girls... Eating banana or zucchini bread, I think.  Haha...

Short stack usually starts eating her breakfast as I head out the door with the older two.

Bundled up, and ready to go!

Rory walks from our apartment toward the bus stop.

The bus stop.  This is actually a real bus stop; several trolley busses and mini-busses (marshutkas) pause here.  : )

Here comes the school bus!

I, then, return home to this.  Awesome.
What was in her breakfast?!

Enjoying her reading lesson... sort of.

Next, Jane and I hop on a trolleybus, and head to her least favorite place:

the gym.

Fitness Mania.

If she could, she might make a run for it.

Afterwards, we make a stop at a nearby market to pick up a few essentials for dinner.

Welcome!  Please stow any packages or additional bags (other than your purse) in the lockers to the right.  Then, pass through the sliding door where a large, imposing security guard may tail you as you shop.

After buying what I can carry, Jane & I walk home.

The goods.
And, yes, that is the standard size of a milk container.
Haha...

After picking Rory and Claire up from school, we enjoy a bit of outdoor play.

Once indoors, we begin...

homework!

Right back where we started.
