Summer Camp

As mentioned in my previous post, Michael and I headed off to Laguna Beach, Florida for our students' annual Summer Camp.

Below are a few pics from the week.

Michael and I were able to enjoy the ten hour trip (in the van below) together -- along with 15 junior and senior high students... He drove; I performed crowd control.
A blurry photo of our group; Michael and I are bringing up the rear. :)
Along with the incredible teaching we received (via, our Pastor, Byron Yawn), we had a little, actually A LOT, of fun. Here, the students asked us to re-enact our first date... After seeing Michael's expression, they decided they also needed to act as "chaperones"... :)
Throughout each day, various games were planned. This pic was taken during a "strategizing" moment during the Army Relay. I'm wearing the shades.
MEALTIME!
Is this cool, handsome guy my husband? Why, yes, yes he is.
Photograph taken prior to Crud Wars -- another intense pre-planned game that closely resembled a large scale food fight.
Photograph taken after Crud Wars. And, yes, that is ketchup, mustard, cool whip, flour and horse feed running down my face... Good times!
Truly, this was blessed time. Thank you Ms. Amber Newell, Dad and Kim; without you, we would not have been able to participate in this exciting opportunity. Who knew waking up to, lounging by, competing alongside, chowing down with and learning along with our students would be so amazing! I love them more than ever! In fact, when I awoke in my own bed on Saturday morning, I was a bit sad -- I missed them. :) I am so grateful that the Lord has allowed us to serve Him (and them) in this way!
