Rory's annual dance recital occurred this past week. These are a few photos from her dress rehearsal; pictures were prohibited during the actual performance. She really enjoys the glitter and glam...but, most of all, she loves to dance (sounds like an old melodic country song...).

This year's song selection was, "Great, Big Beautiful Doll"; unfortunately, during rehearsal (and the perfromance), Rory looked like a severely pained doll. I think it might have been the bright lights...

The following pics show Rory immediately before going on stage. Oddly enough, she is not affected by fear or nervousness. She walks out with her group, does her routine, and then exits; we, then, take off the costume, put on "normal" clothes and skip down the hallway -- as if we do this every day.

A few highlights include: Mommy almost forgetting to remove green slides and replace with pink ballet shoes, watching her asssistant teacher (Ms. Lauren) dance (beautifully), being with family and receiving her first trophy ever (a bronze twirling ballerina on an ivory stand).

Thank You and Good Night!

Oh, Rory looks so sweet here. I almost cried looking at these pics. She is getting to be such a big girl.
