Joyful Jane

If a child could be born with an expression, Jane arrived with a smile. All too quickly, she is maturing from infant to cute babe to toddler... No longer is she contentedly contained; Jane, too, wants to play and pretend with her two older sisters. Perhaps, someday, I will have three chefs for my kitchen - although I could do without tennis shoes in the sink.

Speaking of meals, Jane also enjoys the same foods we do... especially with the addition of six teeth, and two more pending...

Apparently, household objects, toys, fuzz on the carpet, etc., all look very similar to food. Everything, and I mean absolutely EVERYTHING, finds its' way into her mouth. And, funnily, if she can't use her hands to grasp an item, she will simply plant her face/mouth over it...using those handy-dandy teeth!

As well, Jane has begun AVID exploration of her world. She crawls and cruises to wherever desire leads her. And, with expanding freedom, boundaries are sure to follow. For example, if one tips over the dog's water bowl, one will surely be soaked. Or, if one tries to grab the plastic trash bag out of the trash can, garbage could topple over on one. These are just hypotheticals of course.

Certainly, Jane has brought more adventure, joy and love into our home. I am blessed to be her mommy.
