This past Halloween our family continued a tradition; rather than going door to door (in the absolute dark and extreme cold), we celebrated "Fall Festival" at our church (Community Bible Church).
My Little Pumpkin... Claire was so very excited about being a pumpkin. In fact, she has asked to "dress up pumpkin" almost every day since Halloween. At least she can always wear the hat...

The girls pose together. I love experiencing events like this with them!

Here is Rory as "Elena" - a Barbie character/fairy. She was able to wear lip gloss and glitter dust; at this point, she was already "in character".

At CBC's Fall Festival, both Rory and Claire got their faces painted. Rory asked for a flower on each cheek, and Claire chose a butterfly.

They enjoyed various games: bowling, golfing, a ring toss, a rubber chicken launch, knock down the "Walls of Jericho" with a sling shot and Bible trivia. At each booth, they received candy. Sadly, Michael and I have consumed most of it. As seen below, they also "went fishing"; the number written on the bottom of the duck dictated the amount of candy they could take. Surprisingly, the kiddos rigidly stuck to the rules -- they plunged their hand into a bag full of candy and counted out their correct number of pieces. Pretty cool.

And, yummiest of all, we had a hot dinner and the Haskins' homemade donuts. I think I might have splurged a bit...I had three -- donuts that is. :)
