The conditions were perfect. The day was a breezy 85 degrees; we had the materials; and I was feeling brave. I pulled out our paints and paper, stripped the girls down to their skivvies and ushered them outside -- and into the world of finger paint. I believe the pictures tell the story best. Enjoy...
In the beginning, Rory and Claire were uncertain, but soon the goo felt good ...
High Five!
Flash Dance! (I promise this was not posed; this is Claire.)
Rory and Claire decide to leave their mark; they each make handprints in various colors and places (including, but not limited to, outdoor furniture, the porch, hair & body parts).
Suddenly, a change occurs. The girls decide to smear all the colors together; in the process, they begin to paint themselves.
My favorite moment of painting -- right before it became a messy blob of brown color.
And, now to the tub!
