Yes, this is my sweet, crazy little Claire sleeping in her big girl bed for the first time. Rory snuggled beside her in order to comfort and encourage her in this time of need.... or perhaps, just to listen to Claire's bedtime story.
As I write this, we are closing in on one whole week of sleep in a bed that makes Claire seem like Thumbelina... only more rough and tumble and loud, and oh, nevermind. The first night was a little challenging. I think she was slightly afraid when confronted with this new found freedom; she began playing with the light switch, jumping on the end of the bed, hurling animals onto the floor, etc. However, after a quick visit to her room (by me), she drifted off to sleep. Thankfully, every night following has been a dream.
She is growing up so fast....
